There are so many wonderful and fascinating books we could recommend but these three weave together and give an understanding of our individuality and how creativity can flourish, but as with everything theory or science based views differ and studies are not 100% truths. More important is forming an understanding and then an opinion you can explore and be curious about.

Daniel Kahneman ’Thinking, Fast and Slow’ - The absolute must read to understand how our brains operate within two modes - System 1 - automatically and quickly, whilst System 2 is effortful consious reasoning. Neither system is dominant they bat to and fro which is where it seems creativity and innovation come from.

Dean Burnett ’The Happy Brain’ - Wittely written this looks at the inner workings of our minds exploring ‘What does it mean to be happy? Where does it come from? What’s the secret?, highlighting our individuality and what it means to be human.

We have to promote this book, not just for its enlightening content, but also because Chapter Two is written by our very own Soraya Shaw!

There is a major paradigm shift about understanding human behaviour going on this century. We need to be conscious of it if we are to have the early advantage of its immense value. It is this that the modern brain sciences are offering us: a new, scientifically verified perspective on what we humans are and how that manifests itself as complex human behaviour.
